Confirmed from Jackson City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A beautiful city park that has a lot for people of all ages. A pleasant walking/running trail goes around the park, and give you great sights of the local pond which is stocked full for fishing, the soccer and baseball fields, and the stream that runs through the southern part of the park.

Very well maintained park, it’s beautiful and is definitely a place you could take your whole family on a picnic or just your kids to have a little day of fun. I would not take your kids after 8 PM as high school kids usually gather in the park after school or at night on the hill by the playgrounds.

We walk several miles in the part several times a week. Great place to walk in the early morning. Trail over hills around the small lake, or very flat beside the creek, your choice. Park is safe, clean, and attractive. Also good place for "Picnic in the park" with carryout from nearby Wibs Bar-B-Que.

New and improved (replaced) "low water" bridge by the ball fields. It is very nice. But the memory of walking in the creek will live on.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
