Confirmed from Kiwanis Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Kiwanis Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (371 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“The children's play areas and shelters look very well maintained.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Nicely shaded with rolling hills and a quaint little pond that is full of Spring peepers in the Springtime.”

The park itself is beautiful and always has been. The children's play areas are great and safe. The only objective I have in this area as in other parks are the grounds. Let's see about getting rid of mulch, pea gravel and anything else loose, please get updated. Only then I could and will give it a 5th star rating!

I went because I wanted a place for a walk on a winter day. The children's play areas and shelters look very well maintained. I enjoyed watching the dogs in the dog park. I found a path through woods which, though very short, provided a sighting of some white-tailed deer.

First time at the dog park. There were two areas fenced in: one for small dogs and one for large dogs. There is a place to get fresh water as well as a place to sit and shade. The area is large enough to throw frisbees and balls. I would highly recommend this place to take your fur baby.

Beautiful and big park, lots of room for walking. Absolutely amazing dog park, it is spacious and has tennis balls there. There’s a picnic table inside the gated dog park. There is separate gating for small or large dogs.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 58 mentions

“Our dogs have been playing here for several years and they have fun, but really wish they had ramps and ropes for the dogs to grab and swing on as many dogs enjoy that.”

  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
