We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Jane Addams Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Jane Addams Trailhead
The surface is well suited for both biking and walking. It's nice and wide and safe. There's plenty of parking at the trail heads in Orangeville and Freeport. A majority of the trail is shady as you go north.
Welcome to Jane Adams Trail, Which is solely funded by The Freeport Park District, nobody that actually uses the trail help pay for it, and creates a huge deficit every year maintaining the trail.
Great trail. Free. Just had doe and two fawns bounce the trail in front of me yesterday. Glad to see them drill well at trailhead, many people hav asked me if they could get water there.
Flat, easy running trail that is well maintained. Really enjoyed my run along here. Decent amount of shade as well.
