I was a first time visitor on Thursday September 24, 2020. I discovered this peaceful park on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. It was so peaceful walking around taking pictures. I did see a deer but she ran away before i could take a picture.
I've been following the park and its history for a few years. I'm glad the township has decided to revitalize this hidden gem. The short story is, the mansion was that of Archibald Johnston, who happened to be the first mayor of Bethlehem City proper, as well as vice president to the Bethlehem Steel Corp.
This is where I go to regain my sanity and also to walk my little Maltese, Patrick. I love walking the grounds around the estate. I never know what wildflowers, or wildlife, I might see.
Nice, clean, wide open park. Paved trails. Multiple signs say no dogs, but there were 6 that I saw, 3 of which were offleash. Historic markers throughout.
