Confirmed from Jerome Creek Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (14 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful trail, went early in the morning and it was lovely, the creek is so pretty and there is a beaver dam.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“We were the only ones here, serene and peaceful”

I really liked the boardwalk, I didn't see any wildlife, a few Red-winged Black birds but not much else.

★★★★★ — John , Jul 2023

First time I came here off the beaten path I went in February just to get out but looks like a nice place to walk or run or take your dog. Im sure once tge grass grows would be even nicer with the large bridge and low water flowing.

★★★★★ — Wisconsin , Feb 2026

Beautiful trail, went early in the morning and it was lovely, the creek is so pretty and there is a beaver dam. The only drawback was lots of mosquitoes. Great place to take an easy peaceful walk

Amazing nature preserve with beautiful trails. Underutilized and a great experience. We were the only ones here, serene and peaceful

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
