Confirmed from John Herbert Davis Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about John Herbert Davis Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (330 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“It's a smaller park but very clean with a grass field and its next to a trail.”

I have bèn going here since I was a young girl. There's always an adventure if some kind here at Davis Park. You can walk the trail that runs along the creek or put together a baseball game in one of the big open gas areas they have.

Nice park with the senior center kind of run down restrooms Small baseball field picnic tables barbecue pits even a place to play horseshoes right next to wild Creek Trail easy walk from San Pablo Ave. or rum rail Street the police do patrol there weed out some of the riffraff, which is super nice I seen them

I grew up next door to this park. There is a play structure, some baseball field and a few hiking trails . Wildcat Creek runs through the park and is currently being restored. Maybe the stickleback fish will make a comeback!

★★★★★ — The , Jan 2019

I loved seeing the community there with their families. The vibes were really good. It's a smaller park but very clean with a grass field and its next to a trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 5 mentions

“At night, you'll mostly see couples taking walks with their dog in toe or perhaps the little league practice game as they often hold their practice games here during the season.”
