Confirmed from Johns Homestead Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Johns Homestead Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (50 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“Once past that section it opens up to a beautiful lake area where you can watch the dragonflies and turtles in relative seclusion.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Quiet and refreshing, except when a guy comes to smoke (marijuana) and the smell invades the atmosphere.”

Nice little park, trail is soft surface with some improvised water crossings. Not for use with strollers or small children unless you don't mind them possibly getting wet and muddy. Trail is not a continuous loop but is more hub and spoke.

Beautiful, loved all the wildlife. Well defined trails and very clean. Will be back

I found a park on Google Maps. The name of this park is Jhon’s Homestead Park. It is big and beautiful. There is a beautiful and clear lake in it. It is exciting. I like it so much. So I decided to go to the park right away. Then my husband and I drove to the park. It only took us three minutes.

Nice place to walk. Interesting plants, beaver pond, and old farmhouse. Trail to lake not complete.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
