Confirmed from Johnson Preserve at Braden River's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Johnson Preserve at Braden River
“Very short trail but you could do multiple loops and walk the sidewalks in beautiful elite neighborhood surrounding this little preserve.”
“No shade it is all open but really pretty.”
“Very quiet, good parking and for a one mile run or multiple times around would be nice.”
Beautiful refuge from the suburbs. Loved my time, wouldn’t make a trip of it but if you’re in the area, it’s nice. Love that it’s more wild and not super manicured like other preserves. Main trail sandy, semi-shady. Few side trails that cut through, some that I tried to explore but didn’t really go anywhere.
We walked the mile from the path entrance at Club House Dr to Linger Lodge Rd. Saw about 10 people and not much wildlife. Lots of flora and fauna and an the path of just recently redone so very clean and easy to walk. Lots of shade on the trail as well.
Very short trail but you could do multiple loops and walk the sidewalks in beautiful elite neighborhood surrounding this little preserve. Dog friendly. No bathrooms. Small parking lot. No shade it is all open but really pretty.
Easy short trail , wouldn't call it picturesque but it's nice for a quick walk . Lots of locals take their dogs on the walk here. If you are lucky - you can see some deer or even some horses!!!

“Very happy with how this has grown from a sandy path to having a Pavillion, parking, and soon a kiosk.”
“The only thing better would be some kind or water fountain for people and pets to fill up and cool off.”
