Confirmed from Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Nature Park
“It was so relaxing and serene, and I even saw a gator going for a leisurely swim in the pond.”
Located at 1000 Circus Blvd Sarasota, FL 34232, this newly created nature park is located within a disused portion of Bobby Jones Golf Club. Extensive paved trails are good for biking and walking. We saw a Bald Eagle flying overhead as well as Red Shouldered Hawks, raccoons and alligators.
I loved this experience. There are a few different trails to choose from. I wish the entrance sign to the trails, behind the golf carts, was a little better found from the parking lot, but other folks were friendly enough to point me in the right direction. I loved my walk today.
An amazingly quiet, peaceful oasis at the edge of urban Sarasota. The trails offer great views and some shade (will be a challenge in the summer months) to enjoy native flora and fauna. From the parking lot, hard to spot the start of the trail but, once on the path, everything is well marked
Recently reopened after renovation but they still have a lot to do. It is ok to walk your leashed dog but bring your own bags for pet waste. There were no garbage cans, no benches and no pet waste bags. It was a nice trail to walk and is a 2 mile loop.
