We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Jolee Island Nature Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic

Relaxed nature preserve featuring a playground for kids, rustic trails and kayaking.

What runners say about Jolee Island Nature Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (33 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

If you’re at the Sandestin Resort and in need of a little nature, stop on by the Jolee Island Nature Park. There are a handful of short trails, including a circumferential trail around the whole thing. Bring a picnic and stop by one of several tables or even a small covered dollhouse-like structure. Got kids?

★★★★★ — Andrew , Aug 2021

Not open to the public, but great place to go if you’re staying in the sandestin area! You can access by walking or kayak. There’s a playground for kids and a lookout tower to climb. Be aware of snakes and gators around. We didn’t see any but there’s tall grass around so it can be a little nerve wracking

★★★★★ — Victoria , Aug 2022

Nice walking path with beautiful landscape. The playground left much to be desired and I was concerned the little ones would get splinters, but that didn't happen so all good. Smaller than I expected but the beautiful weather was enjoyable.

★★★★☆ — Tom , May 2023

Really pretty. You can kayak over to it. Great trails and a nice metal playground that is burning hot in the summer

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
