Confirmed from Jones Island Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Grays Lake park featuring a beach, a playground, volleyball courts, and picnic shelters.
What runners say about Jones Island Park
“Beautiful new playground this year well kept beach could use some re grading due to the rain”
“Beautiful park with a playground, volleyball court, the lake and a shelter area with some benches.”
This is a great Beach. It's on the smallish side but it's nice & cozy. The water is nice since there are no motorboats. You can swim fish play volleyball kayak picnic & have fun on playground equipment. Lots of grass to run around on. It's 1 of my favorite places.
Really nice park with plenty of parking. Nice walking trails & friendly atmosphere. Fishing area is a big attraction for many. Sit by the lake or walk around the river or enjoy a picnic at one of the many tables available. Dock on site for those who would like to kayak or canoe.
