Confirmed from Juhring Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with kid-friendly hiking trails that are well marked.
What runners say about Juhring Nature Preserve
“Latest news: The local Scout troop more clearly marked the paths so no more getting lost.”
Beautiful 76 acre forest. Close to homes, but terrain blocks views of the homes. Latest news: The local Scout troop more clearly marked the paths so no more getting lost. The Juhring Nature Preserve is in Dobbs Ferry, not Irvington.
This is a great local park that seems to be off the beaten path except for the local residents. I love coming here in all the seasons, especially Autumn and Winter. Being in the woods is special and gives a great escape from the hectic city life surrounding the park.
We hike these wonderful woods with our dog. It changes with the seasons.
A nice place to get lost in nature. A good place for a walk in the fresh air. You can walk up to about 2 miles if you do all the trails. It's a great place to meet your neighbors and their kids and dogs. It get's pretty busy at times. More of a local haunt.
