Confirmed from Katie's Garden's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Beautiful and peaceful park that has the Rountree Branch creek flowing thru it, next to the Platteville Regional Chamber office.”

This is a beautiful memorial garden next to the Platteville Chamber of Commerce. Volunteers keep the beds diverse and gorgeous all summer long. My children especially love the fairy gardens. There are benches and tables and a pretty slow river with lots of shade. The walking/biking trail goes right through it.

Katie's Garden is an destination for Southwest Wisconsin. Not only is the landscape lovely, it offers a connection to miles of walking/biking trails and access to the Platteville Regional Chamber -- the premier location for tourist information in Southwest Wisconsin.

I've been here several times for weddings and just walking through. This is such a beautiful place!!! Theres a stream that runs through here too. Plenty of flowers and a sensory area made from plants.

Katie's Garden is an amazing place anytime of year. I was just there to check out the Christmas lights. Amazing job. Love visiting through out the year. They do a great job creating an amazing place to reconnect with nature. Flowers are always awesome, and you can walk along the little river that lines the garden.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
