Confirmed from Katy Crossing Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Katy Crossing Trailhead
“Great for hiking, running or biking.”
GTF group ride meets here every Thursday night at 6:30pm year round followed up with food and drinks at 600° Market Place in the square after the ride. All skill levels welcome between 8-12 miles
Update - April 2025: Now over 8 miles of singletrack trail in this area. Great place for mountain biking. There is a 3 mile loop of XC style/smooth flow trails. It's the least rocky trail I've experienced in Texas and a great place for beginners or anyone looking for some nice smooth singletrack.
Great trail to walk or run. I wouldn’t say stroller friendly. Very pretty. Went in March.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
