We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Katy Trail - Hartsburg Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with a picnic area, restroom, and trailhead, plus a pumpkin festival.
What runners say about Katy Trail - Hartsburg Trailhead
Great place! Awesome amentities. Nice little patch to pitch a tent over by the gazebo. Hope to ride this trail again someday soon. If you are just passing through, make sure you got enough food, there was not much here to resupply.
Great little town to enjoy. Right by the katy trail. Has bathrooms and water station.
This early morning run with a buddy meant we got to enjoy the trail with a slight haze lying close to the ground. Not quite fog but still pretty. At the Hartsburg trailhead, just 11 minutes from Ashland, there are bathrooms, gravel parking and a small restaurant called The Burg.
This playground, the Katy Trail at Hartsburg, is many things to a few residents- it is also a few unexpected things to the many that arrive here in time for the most excellent and exceptional items of interest that can be had anywhere.
