Confirmed from Kelvin Grove Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (86 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Nice quiet park for children to play on playground and good for jogging or walking.”

I needed to find a place to walk my dog in between errands and it was a nice spot. They had baggies for my dog and the park was very clean.

I love having this gem of a park right here in my neighborhood! So nice to have a basket ball court, covered picnic area, long walking path and huge field area for just about anything you can think of! Also, an updated playground, which features experiences for the very young, up to older children. Love it!

Fun neighborhood park. There's a sidewalk that loops around the park that is approximately 1/3 mile long. There are basketball courts, a playground with swings, a large field, a covered pavilion, a small paved parking lot, and a fence between the playground and main road. Downside is there are no restrooms.

This is a lovely little park! Covered picnic tables, a path, places to play ball, and beautiful views of a nearby mountain range 💖 Only word of caution: wear bug spray! I didn't even realize until I overheard someone talking about them, but there are mosquitos there! 😬🦟

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
