Confirmed from Kempner Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Quiet peaceful little park to have lunch well kept.”

Kempner Park has always been a fun park to go to, walk around, picnic or spend the day with family and friends. It is a dog park but everyone does a great job of cleaning up after their pets and picking up after themselves.

We passed this place a couple times in route somewhere else. Had to take time to go back to it. Worth it. Beautiful place.

I love this park until I moved to Galveston and went to this park I never knew a squirrel to walk right up to you and gently take food from your hand. It was the neatest thing I have ever experienced with a little critter in the wild. You have to bring the some snack and feed them sometime it will amaze you!

Lovely place with many angels in disguise whom are always offering to help others. Leaves me speachless to think I had to drive a 1000 miles away from home just to find my heaven

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
