Confirmed from Keyes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Winter fun for all ages(for us brave adults too😊)!”

Such an amazing place for sledding! There are some amazing huge hills but some smaller ones also if you have big and little ones! As of now my favorite sledding place for sure!

★★★★★ — Mia , Jan 2021

The playground is spacious and offers a comfortable environment for visitors. It's an excellent place for leisurely walks, and pets are welcome, which adds to the experience. I particularly appreciated the design of the uphill walking path; it adds a unique touch to the overall layout.

★★★★★ — Jud , Jun 2025

Love this park. Great hill for sledding!!! Well lit! Parking avail. at top of hill along street and at the bottom of hill in parking lot- handicap accessible! Winter fun for all ages(for us brave adults too😊)!

The area in southern Columbia Heights has lots of places to walk. Huset park has a pavilion and also Murzan Hall. Meeting people coming out of Murzan Hall while we were walking. Enjoying the Tree colors.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
