Confirmed from Kinnickinnic Red Trail Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Kinnickinnic Red Trail Trailhead
“Gets to be a bit long with little ones and there are some steep ravines through out it right off the trail but it's a great hike and beautiful scenery.”
It is a 2.9 mile hike. It took us over 2 hours with the kids little legs and the extremely icy trails. We were not prepared but all we needed was some hiking ice spikes and we would have been set. There was also a decent amount of mud where the trail did get more sunlight.

Great hiking trail. Gets to be a bit long with little ones and there are some steep ravines through out it right off the trail but it's a great hike and beautiful scenery. Anxious to go back and try out one of their other trails.
Not a "modern" trail, so berms don't allow for flow at speed. But, still really nice trail with a lot of ups and downs. Green and blue trails.

- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
