We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Kisatchie Falls yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Kisatchie Falls
“Composting toilets at the Coyote camp are clean and ecologically sound, albeit odorous.”
“It's such a beautiful place to visit, and if I was a camper, I'm sure it would be so peaceful to sleep overnight there.”

Sandstone outcrops with massive bedding dot the trails. Several localized fish and arthropod species in streams and trees can inspire children (and adults) across geologic history and ecosystems. Evenings notable for firefly courtship displays unpolluted by city lights.
Beautiful spot. You have to travel down a narrow, bumpy gravel road to get to the spot, but so worthwhile!
We parked on the side of Kisatchie Falls Road near the bridge and walked down to the water. Enough frequent visitors to keep the vegetation down, there was a narrow path to the water’s edge that was easily walkable

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
