We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Kishwaukee Forest Preserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Kishwaukee Forest Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (14 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Kishwaukee Forest Preserve is a fairly new preserve, and features a large parking lot. The park features mowed grass paths which follow the Kishwaukee River, with some places where you can head down to its banks. There are many birdhouses in neighboring fields, so it is an excellent spot for birding!

I’m lucky to be right across the street from this park. I love this trail because it’s always nice. There are maybe a couple spots that are a little wet right now but it’s a great place to go for a run or a walk. If you’d like to fish, this is a great spot too!! A lot of wildlife and beautiful flowers and trees.
