Confirmed from Kit McConnico Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Soccer, softball, baseball and mountain bike trails in a park that also has playgrounds.

My daughter is playing soccer for the first time, and we had our first practice. We enjoyed watching the littles play and run around. We can’t wait to participate and watch her and her team play some more this season. We are super excited and the fields are nice.
The hiking / biking trails have lot of diversity among the trees, which makes them all the more beautiful to a nature lover! It was the best place to see the dramatic leaf color change this year (Autumn 2022)! Lots of yellows and oranges.
Stopped here while driving through Texas to stretch our legs and our dogs legs and go to the bathroom and eat. Nice well kept park. Wish we had time to explore the trails.
Trail conditions & character
“There is also a small play area for kids on the other side but it's far away from the restroom and the walking trail.”
“Small trees down on rock garden and back loop but they are rideable with moderate skill.”

“We went during the early afternoon (weekday) and didn't encounter a single person until we came back to the parking lot.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
