Confirmed from Kiwanis Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with swings, slides, play structures, a climbing rock and a horseshoe area.
What runners say about Kiwanis Park
“Beautiful large park with walking trails and different play structures.”
Extensive green space with a ton of trees. Great place to hammock, have a picnic in the grass, a birthday party in the shelters, walk the trail, play sand volleyball or utilize the playground areas. Nice, quiet spot in an otherwise busier area of town.
Celebrated a milestone birthday with my great great nephew and extended family and friends! Spacious with paved walk and bike paths, and picnic shelters. Playgrounds available throughout park for children!
The newly installed fitness path makes it even more enjoyable to walk this park. My only complaint would be the state of the bathrooms. It would be nice to have them open regularly and well stocked but the location does lend itself to shady things happening in the restrooms so it's suitable for the area.
Very large park along the Missouri River. Many activities available- sand volleyball, softball, playgrounds, picnic shelters and lots of open space. There is an amusement park with rides. The Bismarck Zoo is also close by.
Trail conditions & character
“There is a paved or concrete walking and biking trail that goes the length of the park and connects to other trails.”
“Great picture spots, lots of parking, clean walkways, family and pet friendly.”
“My only complaint would be the state of the bathrooms.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
