Confirmed from Riverfront park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
River-adjacent riverside park and walkway featuring a mural-lined flood wall and a history timeline.
What runners say about Riverfront park
“It's a very peaceful place.”
Very neat place to take a walk along the River. It's also neat to see the barges go up and down the Mississippi River.
I grew up here, so this area has been many different things over the years. But now it's a spot I stop at each time visiting Cape. I wouldn't plan an entire day out here unless you REALLY like one bridge and a handful of tugboats.
We walked around downtown and happened upon this area. Walked through the mall wall to find the river a walking or bike path. More murals. People relaxing watching the water go by. The bridge. There is a parking lot nearby and places to shop or eat. Mostly "antique" shops.
The riverwalk is as pretty as ever. It kind of sucks that good art gets painted over and there’s still gang signs. It is a nice walk for my dogs.
Trail conditions & character
“No barges passing this time but it was still an amazing view that goes north around the bend and south to see the beautiful Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge.”
“Parking is limited along the wall, but there is additional parking not too distant from the flood wall.”
