We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Kyger Open Space yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Kyger Open Space
“Gorgeous view, quiet, amazing sculptures, clear path, leashed dogs welcome”
It's not really a hiking trail, more like a walking trail. Very nice if you're into walking and being surrounded by nature. Be careful with taking really small pets, there are huge eagles just waiting to snatch them up.
Very nice path around the lake. Could use more trees in the future and maybe a bench or two on the backside. We don't have paddle boards, but it seemed nice for the few folks using them.
Great for running and biking, not so much for barefooting :) Lots of tiny rocks.
