Great trail out by winchester Airport. There are lots of options on paths to take. We venture to a new area almost every time. There are streams to cross and the plants are all blooming right now. Last hike we came across a gopher snake and horned lizard.
One of my favorite places to take my dog. Lots of wildlife. Definitely watch your step and stay on trail (listen to the signs) so you don't step on an unfortunate snake. So far I've seen gopher snakes, California kings, and one rattler.
This trail is really slippery. i slipped and fell about 3 times. i recommend a walking stick and good grippy shoes . it was also very hot with little shade. make sure you bring lot of water ! otherwise it was great ! well maintained and a GREAT workout ! i took my 2 small dogs and we ended up doing about 5 miles .
Fun easy trail for most people. There are a few up and down hills but very easy trail in general. I went with a few mom friends and we had 4 kids in tow. We all felt safe as this trail is next to a very large neighborhood. There is a stream and area with rocks and trees.
