Confirmed from La Llorona Multi-Use Path Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about La Llorona Multi-Use Path Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (18 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This walking path is paved, which makes it great for walking, riding bicycles, walking your dog and enjoying the beautiful views of Las Cruces, NM. Great place ☺️

★★★★★ — Leonela , Apr 2022

There's a playground and picnic area, a paved trail that goes 5km/3 miles south, and about 1mile north. It's a great place for biking or running. There's a restroom, too.

★★★★☆ — Joseph , Jan 2020

The trail has recently been extended down Calle de Norte nearly to Avenida de mesilla.

★★★★☆ — Carl , Apr 2021

This trail is slowly getting paved more and more connecting the entire city together and you can actually bike most of the city and a large section of farming land, you see the rio grande, and many other cool stops along the trail. It gets better every year:) !

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
