Confirmed from Lackawanna River Heritage Trail - Depot Street Trailhead, Peckville's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very nice trail. Paved and mostly flat. Very popular with all ages and every fitness level. Many paths off of main trail into the woods and along the Lacawanna river. A few degrees cooler towards jerymn. Good trail for testing bicycle mods and repairs.

wonderful place for a morning or evening run by the river. I might have covered just a part of the trail road as I could run only so much. The road for some part is by the river and to run besides with sound of rushing water is serene. On a drizzling day the atmosphere becomes romantic for a late evening stroll.

★★★★★ — Bhanu , Jul 2018

Never realized quite how long that trail is! Just happened to be in the area and we were in the mood for a walk. Found it right around the corner! Such a pretty place to walk. Can't wait to check out more of it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
