Confirmed from Top Of The World Hiking Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Site with hiking and ATV trails, and great views.
What runners say about Top Of The World Hiking Trails
“Beautiful views at the top definitely worth the climb.”
“The trail is not clearly marked in all sections, so GPS or use of an app like AllTrails might come in handy.”
OK first time hiking this got lost in the woods for hours. Atleast I was with amigos. I strongly recommend watching a YouTube video guide that shows the direct path up. There are parts that are almost a straight incline. Be prepared for steepness and rough terrain. It took me about an hour n half up hour down.
Nice view, very steep trail. Had to cross some big puddles to keep going, but nothing above the knees.
Top of the World is located in Dunmore, PA. It is known for hiking an ATV use. The elevation increase throughout the trail would make me consider this more of a moderate trail versus an easy trail. The incline is a little tricky, but the views are definitely worth it!
First time here, didn’t know this was a 2 way hike. You can park down at Tigue St and take the trail from the bottom of the reservoir which I did or you can just walk up the road and stay to the right and that will take you to “The Top of the World” which would be a lot easier.
