Beautiful place for a walk and to reconnect with the wilderness. A lot of shade in the beginning of the path. You have 2 ways to go in which is pretty cool. A lot of trees, you do have shade and some picnic tables.
Nice, well cleared 3 mile loop with shaded boardwalk option through mangroves to water view. Very peaceful. Wish there were restrooms & more parking, but other than that a well-maintained trail.
Pretty cool spot. Very close to an urban development but so untamed once you get deep in. A haven for blue land crabs 🦀 amongst a slew of other coastal and brackish animals and plants. The dense red mangroves and tannin red water in the marsh is a crazy cool backdrop the the 3+ miles of trail.
This was such a hidden gem! I happened to see it as I was coming home from Sebastian and we planned a trip a few days later. Very quiet trail, beautiful nature surrounding you, and even a trail to the lagoon. We saw many birds and butterflies on our walk. We will definitely be back!
