Confirmed from Laguna Grande Regional Park, Monterey side's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“It’s an easy walk with lots of spots to sit and take in the view.”

While we did not walk around the whole lake, we certainly enjoyed our time. It was a frosty morning so ice covered the bridges and plants. The birds were finding their places in the sun and foraging. The lake was beautifully still, so it was easy to spot species.

We have hiked a lot of trails all over the U.S. & this one ranks up among our favorites!! We did the waterfall trail & even though their wasn't an active waterfall...we were definitely not disappointed!

Laguna Grande Regional Park is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots to take the family. We spent the afternoon there recently and had such a great time. The park is peaceful, clean, and has a little bit of everything walking trails, open grassy areas, a lake, and a great playground for the kids.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 7 mentions

“Beautiful lake in the middle of industrial/retail/hotel area, many water and song birds to see.”
