Confirmed from Lake Beresford Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice park, the main trail is a paved loop trail with lots of shade this is about 2 miles. This trail is right off the parking lot, great for bike rides and running. There is also 2 trails Red and Blue that run through the inside forest inside of the paved loop.

★★★★★ — Andrea , Oct 2020

Love this park. The 2 mile loop is perfect as the weather starts getting hot and it’s paved which is great. If you take the path under RR tracks and to the right it dead ends and doing both you get a little over 3 miles which is a great 1hr plus walk depending on your speed.

★★★★★ — Amy , Apr 2024

Beautiful little Volusia County park. Great walking trails, and an amazing sunset view. One of the few places in Central Florida to see the sunset over water. It also has a nice playground, and a bike trail that runs through the middle of the park.

Great park with scenic trails. Love going in the late afternoon to catch a glimpse of the sunset

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🛣️ Paved surface 15 mentions

“Inside the park there is a paved trail of about 2 miles around the triangular perimeter, with several different dirt/sand paths crisscrossing the interior.”

Plan your run at Lake Beresford Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
