Confirmed from Lake Boren Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Stopped by Lake Boren Park on a sunny Saturday afternoon for the first time, and it turned out to be a great spot for the kids. The playground was well-suited for a range of ages, with swings, a see-saw, and even a small climbing wall to keep them entertained.

It's an amazing park to walk around in! It is pet friendly. I see plenty of dogs all the time there! It has a nice little dock that you can walk on to! There are restrooms and a playground too. Lots of open grass area as well. There is also a large trail next to the park too that leads to a small creak and farm!

Nicely maintained park with all amenities. Can swim in Lake Boren as there’s docks with ladders to come out of water. Playgrounds, 🎾 , 2volleyball🏐 nets, basketball 🏀 courts, real bathrooms-bath🚽🚻 and 3 handicapped ♿️parking spaces in a small lot. Most park off street as it’s all shaded by trees 🌲.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
