This park is connected to the Honey Dew Park . It was confusing for our group when we got to the dead-end of the May Creek Park but did not know that we could enter the Honey Dew Park.
My husband and I love this place. Full of all kinds of different birds and offers a nice walk in nature close to home.
I heard about the 1956 Dodge van that had been dumped along the May Creek trail decades ago. It's actually pretty easy to find...if you start at the right trailhead! I hiked for over an hour searching for it, because I started from the 93rd St. trailhead. The old U.S.
This is a neighborhood gem, with wild-feeling trails in thick woods, with a bubbling creek (well, not so much in the driest months), all surrounded by development and houses. I've lived within walking distance for years and just found it recently. For a gentle hike, it's ideal.
