I recently visited Lake Carlsbad Beach Park, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience definitely a 5-star destination! The scenery is stunning, with peaceful water views, lush greenery, and plenty of spots to relax or take a stroll. The park is impeccably maintained, clean, and welcoming for visitors of all ages.
The swim area is small and pretty shallow. But, for walking and just enjoying the river, this is a great place to go. We go fishing sometimes, there is quite a few docks avaliable through the river area, and there is a boat load/unload ramp. They have life guards during the summer time, not sure what the hours are.
Water was very beautiful, unfortunately we did not check the weather the storm was coming but it was still beautiful . You can come in on one side of the lake and they have a walk across bridge that leads all the way to the other side.
I walk my dog here every day. The city does a good job with keeping up with this park and has added pickle ball, basketball, volleyball, and cornhole courts. It is a good place to have a picnic or kayak. There are public charcoal grills and picnic tables. The public restrooms are a little rough.
