Confirmed from Lake Catherine Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed city park (passive, community) featuring a lake (pond) for fishing and boating as well as exercise trails.
What runners say about Lake Catherine Park
“I had to get police involved one day because man didn't clean up after his unleashed dog and argued that he was allowed.”
“Its a beautiful lake and the surrounding is also very nice.”
“The park is usually pretty calm, as there are few visitors throughout the day.”
I like this park for jogging and nature watching. They need more No Dogs Allowed signs. Simple like that. I had to get police involved one day because man didn't clean up after his unleashed dog and argued that he was allowed. Frequently, I'm pointing out where signs are.
I do my daily runs here. The path is nice, tho it does flood in some areas. It’s a little less than 1/2 a mile around, but the views are pretty. Lots of people go there to sail their mini sail boats or fish.
Passive park by design by the city. Clay trail about .5 mile. Trees surround the trail. good fresh water fishing spot. Only non-motorized boats allowed.
Great park to take a walk and clear your mind. Peaceful quiet plenty of shade and parking. Not very big good for a few laps and a nice lake view.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
