Confirmed from Lake Fayetteville Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Laid-back, sprawling natural space offering a boat dock, fishing & trails for walking & biking.
What runners say about Lake Fayetteville Park
“Such a beautiful piece of nature and now as an adult I take my kids around jus like my parents did with me.”
“We had our own kayaks and enjoyed a peaceful fishing day.”
I have to bike 26 miles home from work. This lake is a nice resting place and has lots of activities including kayaks, fishing, and kids sports.
Hay I’ve been walking around this lake since before the bike trail was built. Such a beautiful piece of nature and now as an adult I take my kids around jus like my parents did with me. A must visit for anyone needing that itch or nature filler without traveling to far. Without getting ate up by a bunch of bugs.
I love this park. I run the trail every so often and always see something cool, heres some of my photos
A centrally located urban park with lots of activities to choose from - fishing, bird watching, dog walking, frisbee golf; biking, hiking and running on both hard and soft surface trails that surround the lake. Plenty of places to switch from dirt to the paved trail. You can also boat/kayak on the lake.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
