Confirmed from Mud Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mud Creek Trailhead
“The creek that runs alongside the trail here is quite beautiful for the quarter mile closest to the parking lot and a great place to let kids play.”
“Nice peaceful creek not far from the parking area.”
I walked about 2 miles total, and this is a flat, pet-friendly, paved, and well-marked trail that partly runs behind some houses and alongside a few businesses along its route.
Beautiful little paved trail in the middle of town, with a wonderful little creek to cool off in. My granddaughter and I saw a deer crossing the steam. Tons of birds for birders. Plenty of seating if you want to just sit and relax.
I always appreciate cities with extensive trail systems though if you have to drive to access them finding parking can be quite difficult. Fayetteville has done a pretty good job of preventing this.
Beautiful place near the creek! Kids loved playing in the water. Nice paved walkway. Peaceful and quiet. Would come again!
