Confirmed from Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful, scenic trail (sometimes paved) around the shore of a large lake.

There is nothing like walking to the top of the dike anywhere around lake Okeechobee. You never know what you might see.
Such a beautiful scene. So many alligators 🐊 Walks and other activities are a must. A bit difficult on certain sections to roller blade but biking and walking is the safest route to avoid a fall. A few people around but everyone minds their business and enjoy this beautiful scene.
It was great hiking around this area wet up to the knees at the time. But that’s what you get when you hike a swamp. Beautiful views, and great sunset and sun rise. Get off the beaten path and go explore.
Lake Okeechobee in general is a beautiful place. It’s a good trail for walking short distances or riding your bike. It’s a flat dirt road that runs all the way around the lake (pretty far, over 100 miles I think).
