We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Snell Creek Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Snell Creek Trailhead
Very nice trail, be ready for walk , is good alone, with friends, family , dogs … Ect ect
A beautiful short hike along cypress swamps and scrubs (2.55 miles on the Snell Creek Segment.) There are many rare and protected plants in the area like scrub mint, celestial lily, giant orchid and Florida willow. There are also other trails nearby as listed on the kiost.
Be prepared for sand! Great trail, very sandy. We went out during the hottest part of the day. We made it about a mile, then turned back. There are several access points which we discovered while driving back. This access point has very limited parking and maneuver space.
It's a pretty good walking trail. I am a runner and was looking for a trail that I could run on. Unfortunately this trail does not offer that. The majority of it is very soft white sand with some patches of grass. Not good for running but not a bad trailer for a long walk.
