Confirmed from Lake Wissota State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with 1,000+ acres of forest & prairie plus a swimming lake, hiking, biking & horseback trails.

“There’s a nice hiking trail that boarders the lake and provides great views!”
“The outer ring allows your camper to tuck under trees and provides nice shade.”
“It was a good size, quiet, just a couple sites down from the vault toilets (which were very clean), and right next to a water spout.”
Nice campground, clean lots are long and very private...mosquitoes not that bad at all. No swimming now blue green algea...bathrooms and shower are clean. Nice hiking trails...very good roads for bikes. Overall good experience at this state park.
Great state park located on Lake Wissota. Campground sites are large and well maintained. There’s a nice hiking trail that boarders the lake and provides great views! Lake access is easy by kayak/canoe through the beach or boat launch.
A smaller, quieter park, with varied trails, and new flush bathrooms at the campsite. If you only have time for one hike I definitely recommend hiking the Beaver Meadow Trail, it's an easy hike, keep an eye out for pitcher plants and enjoy the cool air of the glen.
The campsites felt very secluded because the vegetation was so lush. Very clean and nice to explore. Make sure to take the walking trail along the waters edge.

“Wish there were flush bathrooms and showers by the group sites, but oh well, the showeres were well maintained and quite up to date.”
