Confirmed from Lakeside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

ScenicQuiet

Lush, creekside landscape with walking paths, benches & a bridge, plus teddy bear statues.

Nice, pretty, and peaceful place to walk around by yourself or with pets. There are plenty of spots to park on the street right by the park with a lot of trees and grasslands. There is a bridge connecting one side of the lake to the other side of the lake where you will find three teddy bear statues that are adorable.

Such a beautiful park with a lake, located in a very calm area. It is indeed a big one to do picnics, jog and bring your pets. The place is entirely filled with greenery and there are also teddy bear statues. The lake also has several ducks, whom you can feed. It also has a beautiful small waterfall.

Peaceful park with scenic views and walkways! I can walk here every day and stare at the trees, and greenery or the mansions across the street. Love ❤️ this park!

Lakeside Park in Highland Park is a peaceful little escape. Shady trees, pretty creek views, and quiet paths make it perfect for a walk or quick break. Clean, calm, and great for slowing down for a bit after a busy day in the city. Be sure to check out the big teddy bear statues on the other side of the bridge.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
