Confirmed from Prather Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It is well kept, good walking trail and dog friendly.”

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful parks in the Dallas area. It's small, but the views of the creek and the walkways and bridges make up for what the park lacks in size. I love to take my dog for a walk here. It's great exercise, too, because of all the steps in the pathway.

This is a very beautiful park. While it doesn’t have long trails for walking, it’s still a great place to enjoy scenic views and connect with nature. It’s perfect for a relaxing visit, whether you want to take a short walk, unwind, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings.

Nice park in the middle of Highland park. Great spot for photography and family portraits. Nice trees, paths & various stone bridges. Several tennis courts too.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff
