Confirmed from Lakeview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Beautiful beachfront park featuring a lighthouse and picnic tables as well as a dog park.
What runners say about Lakeview Park
“This is a beautiful city park that's well-maintained.”
“A great place to pull over and relax and if you get there at the right time in the morning it is very beautiful”
It was so cold along Lake Michigan just out for a drive. I enjoy going up to manitowoc in summertime and walking along the water.
A nice strip of land along Lake Michigan just north of the marina. There is a small beach. You can walk out to the Paws and Play dog park. Beyond the dog park there is the north jetty and the lighthouse. Along the way is a large pond that is a haven for shore birds.
No matter where I live or where I go, this will always be my home. I grew up on the north side less than a half mile away from here and have spent many glorious summers at the beach. So wonderful to see how it has transformed to this beautiful park it is today.
Great walk, dog park as well and just enough sand beach for my 11 year old son to swim in Lake Michigan in September. Everyone needs to know how cold the lake is in summer.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
