Confirmed from Lamentation Mountain State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Don't follow Google's directions to the park. You will end up in a condo complex. Instead, search Google maps for Giuffrida Park, which contains the trailhead for the mountain.

One of Meriden's untapped hiking destination, with a backstory about how Lamentation Mountain was named. Located in the North East corner of Meriden, it is part of the Guifredda Park area, next to Hunters golf course. To reach Lamentation Mountain on foot, follow the fire service road along the power line right of way.

Today I decided to do Mount Lamitation and let me tell you what a beautiful view from atop. I parked at Guiffrida park in Meriden and filled my map from the alltrails app. I started down the trail and went up to mount lamentation which has such a beautiful view from a top.

Good hiking trail options from easy to hard. Talk is well paved. Great scenery especially by lake and at top of Lamentation Mt. Worth the hike.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
