Confirmed from Leatherstocking Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Leatherstocking Trail
Really awesome trail that runs through neighborhoods. There are a lot of different places where you can access the trail. At points, depending on how far you walk, you may have to cross roads or walk on the road/sidewalk for a little bit. We joined the trail on Pinebrook Blvd across from Hillside Crescent.
Fantastic if you're running it as part of the Colonial Greenway loop. No official parking, so you'll have to figure out local rules
Great hiking trail that I didn't know about before! Inclined so not for toddlers, or older adults who have trouble walking.
Nice Trail well maintained. Great for dogs with scattered garbage cans around. Some of it especially the inclines are rocky areas so make sure to wear good Footwear this Trail is great but just make sure you wear it the correct shoes
Trail conditions & character
“There's no designated parking but it was easy to park in the neighborhood.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
