Confirmed from Lerner Conservation Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lerner Conservation Park
A terrific relaxing place to walk, view and hear wildlife. Love the feeling no matter the season or weather. The workers that keep it up should be proud... Unfortunately, there needs to be a safety analysis done on the path through the park and the major traffic intersection at Alpineway and CC.
Great place for a longer walk, especially if it's sunny! A breeze can make brisk, but lovely to see and hear the birds which will be soon.
About 1.5mi around, flat with prairie everywhere. A new library building has been built. There is an extension of the trail going around it so you can avoid traffic.
Clean and nice place, with tracks suitable for running, cycling, dog walking, and there are benches/tables under the trees, or in plain sunshine.
Trail conditions & character
“great loop for runners, walkers, and riders - just wish it had a drinking fountain of some sort.”
“Most respect the flashing crosswalk for pedestrians however there are drivers who go right through the lights with individuals entering the crosswalk.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
