Confirmed from Letterman Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood green space featuring a skate park, a playground & open grassy areas for picnics.
What runners say about Letterman Park
“It's always clean and that goes for the restrooms as well.”
It is spacious, nice grass, lots of room for kids to run around, easy to see most of the park from the covered tables next to the playground area. The people who go here are friendly and the staff at the skate park are very friendly as well.
Trail conditions & character
“I usually only visit the dog park here, which is split into two sections, one for small dogs and one for large dogs.”
“One stat deducted because most of the restrooms were out of service and the ones that were in service were in rough shape.”
“Lights come on always before it's dark.”
“There is a nearby skatepark that utilizes the same parking lot as Letterman.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
