Easy to follow hiking trail that is kid and dog friendly. The trailhead begins at the corner or the parking lot for the sports complex. Plenty of parking.
This was the first time walking the trail. I took the Mike Dumas trail and it’s a 1.2 mile loop. There were people walking their dogs, women with young children walking it. I don’t think it’s a stroller friendly trail though. I walked the loop twice.
Probably the most used trailhead for the LMTS, this trail leads to many great options on the mtn.
Wonderful trail system. I suppose Liberty owns it? Either way, whoever does own it, thank you for providing this trail system to the community. I’ve run an unknown number of miles here with friends and my dog. Thank you so much! I’ve even run the Candlers Mountain half marathon. Lots of fun!
