Confirmed from Licht Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Licht Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (504 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Beautiful park to walk, bring the kids, awesome playscape, Pavillion and many picnic tables, clean restrooms.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“The drawbacks are that the mosquitos can get aggressive in the shaded areas and there are a lot of squirrels that block the path and move out of the way at the last second.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Good quiet park & a lot of trees to keep cool for a hot summer.”

UPDATED 2025 Pros: Brand new playground, lots of swings. Cute little free library “castle” that opens like a drawbridge. Now has turf and looks like they redid all the ground surrounding the playground (hopefully to take care of the old drainage issues, but I can't testify to that yet) Many benches.

★★★★☆ — Mommy , Jul 2025

Tucked in an upscale Warren neighborhood near schools, this park has a nice flat walking/biking/ rollerblading path, lots of picnic tables, a large canopy, and a really great playscape. Also boasts a challenge fitness course. Lovely place to have a picnic 4 seasons.

★★★★★ — Andrea , Jan 2021

The kids love this park. They like the play scape especially since it has the longest monkey bars track around. The play scape is a good size and offers plenty of room for tag. Unfortunately when it rains, a lot of the area has large puddles that stick around for a few days.

★★★★☆ — Chris , Apr 2024

It's a great place to walk around and relax. It has a obstacle course for people who want to work out and a nice play ground for children.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌳 Shaded / tree cover 4 mentions

“The drawbacks are that the mosquitos can get aggressive in the shaded areas and there are a lot of squirrels that block the path and move out of the way at the last second.”
